Advance Melt and Pour Soap Making Class COMING THIS FALL!

* PREREQUISITE: Our Beginners Melt & Pour Soap Class OR Equivalent Experience Required*
 ( IF YOUR NEW TO SOAP MAKING; SIGN UP FOR OUR BEGINNERS SOAP MAKING CLASS).

Class will start : September 9th 2014 6pm - 8:30pm (2.5 hrs)

In this fun-filled workshop, you will advance your soap making skills using melt and pour soap base to go beyond the one dimensional soap bar. What you will take from this class: You will learn and practice techniques such as layering, embedding, marbling, and adding various types of additives to your soap bar for exfoliants. The class uses a high quality natural soap base that is detergent-free and has no animal ingredients, so it's safe for sensitive skin types. You will receive a helpful handout and make and take home four impressive full sized bars of soap, all packaged and ready to gift. 

 There will be lots of hands-on technique to learn in this workshop, so wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.

 1- Layered bar of soap 1- Embedded soap bar 
 1- Marbled soap bar
 1- Exfoliant soap bar 
 1 Handout/Instructions 
 Hands-on creative soap packaging

 LADIES, Are you tired of spending boat loads of money trying to find that perfect product color for your skin or discover that your favorite shade of makeup is discontinued? Now you can make your very own custom-blend eyeliner, eye shadows, and lipsticks. It's not only fun and makes a great gift, but the cost of the raw materials is about one-tenth of what you would pay at a name brand cosmetic company - for the same or better quality!
 Come out for one night of fun and learn about all the raw materials commonly used to make loose mineral makeup from scratch which you will use to blend your own shades of makeup. You will also learn about the different brushes and containers that are commonly used with mineral makeup, as well as where to purchase all your supplies. After learning about the ingredients, some basic concepts, and a few demonstrations, you will get hands-on time to design your own custom-blend creations and design ”BLING” your hand-held mirror. By the end of the class, you will have a general understanding to get started with this interesting and fun new craft -- and you will be well on your way to making all your own makeup that works specifically for you!

FUN Times at the Alabama Soap & Candle Meeting

Well, I'm all settled in from my exciting time at the Alabama Soap and Candle Meeting. I had so much fun more than I had anticipated!. The ladies and gentlemen that I met were so friendly and had so much knowledge and great tips for this craft. I can't wait to get back into my soap studio to create such awesome soaps and beauty products with the great inspiration and cool bargain supplies I purchased at the meeting. Here are some highlights of the fantastic weekend I had. Can't wait until next year. If you want to join its opened to all and it will be held from June 12th - 13th. YOU do not want to miss it!

Getting Ready for the Annual Alabama Soap & Candle Meeting

Every year during the first week of June all the soapers and candle makers meet for a fantastic 2 day event where we all share fun tips, watch tutorials, sales products, get GREAT deals on ingredients and meet up with old and new friends. This year I'm participating in the Great swap.. I can't wait to see what other goodies from the other soapers I come home with. Here is a PEEK at what I'm making for the "Bath Confection" swap...YUMMY looking..Right?? Pink Sugar Bath Salt Sundaes: Whipped soft soap on top of bath salts that makes a delicious body treat without the calories! I'm also participating in the "Extreme Extremities" Swap and this is what I made for this swap group:

Stanky Feet Scrub/Soak just in time to get those tootsies in shape for the summer. Made with nourishing oils and infused with Eucalyptus, peppermint and tea tree essential oils. STAY TUNED for more updates and pictures from this event in the next coming weeks!
